The Wests Tigers travel to the Gold Coast looking to put in a much improved effort against the Titans after their Round 1 loss.
Although there were good signs for the side in the first 20 minutes of round 1, the team was overcome by fatigue due to a lack of discipline in both attack (errors) and defence (penalties). On a Sunday afternoon in Queensland you can bet the conditions will be the same, if not worse than they experienced on Sunday. It is imperative the side turns up with the right attitude in terms of defence and discipline.
Dave Taylor is the player the Tigers need to keep quiet, and with the possible loss of Liam Fulton, the experienced players in the side will need to lift their games to stop the Titans and the ‘Coaltrain’.
The Tigers could be boosted by the return of David Nofoaluma and Keith Galloway for the clash at CBUS Super Stadium, as well as whispers of 1 or 2 additional changes to the side named on Tuesday.
With no disruptions this week, expect a more committed and focused Tigers side to take the field. The Tigers won’t have to worry about a lack of “home ground advantage”, as the local Tigers fans will be out in force for the match at Robina.
