The Sharks were again brave in defeat last Monday night, narrowly going down to the Titans 18-12.

Cronulla clearly lacked direction without five-eighth Todd Carney, and they will have to again  try and produce a win without the superstar number six.

Michael Lichaa looks set to make his first grade debut on Monday night, which should help lessen the load on playmakers Michael Gordon and Wade Graham.

Luke Lewis will also be missing after having precautionary radiation treatment to remove an unwanted hormone from his body.  All of rugby league with Luke the best in his recovery.

The Bulldogs were also narrowly beaten in round one and will want to put their disappointing performance against the Broncos behind them as they look to open their 2014 account.  Their biggest task will be to convert pressure into points, something that proved costly in round one.  Again they will rely on Frank Pritchard to get cranky, and to give his side the momentum.

With no Todd Carney, Paul Gallen or Andrew Fifita for the Sharks, the Bulldogs will head into the match as clear favourites however the Sharks shouldn’t be written off based on their injury toll.
