The Rabbitohs head into the game without their Origin stars Greg Inglis, Ben Te’o and Chris
McQueen. Dylan Walker also misses out this week after breaking his thumb in the victory against
the Warriors last weekend. With those players out, Nathan Merritt returns along with Alex Johnston,
Ben Lowe and former Canberra Raider, Joe Picker.
Despite the various changes this week, the Tigers still have to deal with the not so small task of the Burgess brothers. While only three are making an appearance this week, their form has been outstanding this season and the Tigers will need to be on top of their game to stop them. The halves are also unaffected for the game and they will need their forwards laying the platform for them to have a good game.
For the Tigers, Aaron Woods and Robbie Farah are missing through Origin duty, while Liam Fulton has been ruled out with concussion after having to leave the field for the fourth time this season
from a knock to the head. Those three will be big losses but in their place come hooker Joel Luani,
Ava Seumanufagai and for the first time this season, favourite son, Dene Halatau.
If the Tigers are going to win this game then it will be on the back of the brilliance of Luke Brooks and James Tedesco. Tiger’s fans are delighted to see Tedesco stick with the club after his change of heart and he will be hoping to reward them with another outstanding performance.
This game will be a tight affair but I believe the Tigers backline will be too strong for the Rabbitohs
and their forward pack led by possible signing of the year, Martin Taupau, will match the might of Burgess Brothers.
