Preview

The final round of the season sees the Wests Tigers battle the Cronulla Sutherland Sharks at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday afternoon.

After a disappointing season for both sides affected by both on and off field problems, this game will allow either team to end the season on a high and look forward to next season.

The Tigers have one change this week with debutant Brenden Santi being replaced by Cory Patterson. This means other impressive debutant Asipeli Fine retains his place in the centres.

For the Sharks Michael Lichaa and Tinirau Arona return after being late scratchings last week. These changes mean Pat Politoni and Junior Roqica drop back to the bench and Penani Manumalealii and Patrice Siolo are out of the side altogether.

This game while having no bearing on the finals, is important game for pride. The Tigers have fallen so far since their last win in round 19 and a game at Leichhardt will always motivate the players.

The Sharks showed plenty of grit against the Cowboys on Monday night and only lost in golden point.

It’s a tough game to tip but the quality is still there in the Tigers team including Origin players Robbie Farah and Aaron Woods so that will be enough for them to get over the line.

Prediction
