Tariq Sims has taken an early plea and will miss five matches after being charged with a grade three shoulder charge following the Cowboys victory against the Broncos on Saturday night. Sims has played his last game in Cowboys colours after agreeing to move to Newcastle in 2015.
Ben Barba also was charged with a grade one dangerous contact from the same match but escapes suspension if he pleads guilty.
Anthony Watmough has also taken the early plea after being charged with a grade one dangerous throw on Greg Inglis during Manly’s Friday night loss to South Sydney. He will miss the Eagles elimination game with the Bulldogs on Saturday. Jamie Lyon was also received the same charge but will play if he takes the early guilty plea.
Jared Waerea-Hargreaves could be considered lucky to not be charged by the Match Review Committee after his high tackle on Penrith’s Brent Kite on Saturday night.
