St George Illawarra Dragons head coach Paul McGregor has appointed Ben Hornby, Dean Young and Ian Millward to his coaching staff for the 2015 NRL Season.

“Ian has had a lot of success overseas during his own respective coaching career and has become a sounding board for me since I was appointed Head Coach here at the Dragons,” said McGregor.

“He has a vast understanding of the game and someone who will assist me in setting down the foundations and getting the best out of the playing squad” McGregor told the club’s website.

Millward coached for 16 seasons in the UK, winning two Super League Grand Finals, two Challenge Cup titles and a World Club Challenge. In 2014 he coached the Illawarra Cutters in the NSW Cup before becoming an advisor to McGregor in the second half of the season.

Young, a Dragons legend and 2010 premiership winner, played 209 games for the club between 2003 and 2012, and will mainly focus on the first grade squad. Hornby, who played a record 273 games for the club, including the 2010 Grand Final alongside Young, will now become sole coach of the National Youth Competition side.
