Widnes Vikings have confirmed the appointment of stand-off Kevin Brown as their new captain for 2015.
The 30-year-old former Huddersfield Giants skipper takes on the role for the Vikings following the retirement of Jon Clarke at the end of the 2014 season.
“Nothing will really change in terms of my own on-field performance,” said Brown, who was vice-captain in 2014. “I will be aiming to play at my best next year.
“I will talk to the lads but actions speak louder than words. If I can bring some of my best habits and traits to training and my match-day performance and I can keep my consistency up, I hope the lads will pick up some positives from me that will enhance the way we play.”
