Matt Srama has found a new home at the Sydney Roosters after signing a one year contract with the club today.
The twenty-three year old talented hooker was on the outer at the Gold Coast Titans after they signed rookie Penrith Panther Kierran Moseley to a two year deal on Monday. As a result Srama was granted a release to join the 2013 National Rugby League Premiers next season.
Srama made an immediate impact in the top grade when debuting for the Titans in 2011. He made sixty-two appearances for the club.
It was a frustrating 2014, starting off the season with a shoulder injury that saw him miss the first month of the season. A combination of poor form and six consecutive losses by the struggling Gold Coast franchise saw Srama dropped after their 19-18 defeat by St George-Illawarra Dragons in round 15.
When at his best, Srama is solid in defence and can trouble the opposition defence running from dummy half.
Srama will be a handy backup for regular number nine Jake Friend after the departure of Heath L’Estrange and Daniel Mortimer from Bondi.
