Greg Bird has received a fine from New South Wales police after urinating on a police car after his wedding in Byron Bay yesterday.
Fairfax newspapers are reporting the thirty year old “was spotted by a number of witnesses urinating on the fully marked police car moments after leaving a Bay Street premises at 7:45pm on Sunday”
“Bird attended Byron Bay police station on Monday morning where he was issued with a criminal infringement notice, police said”
Gold Coast Titans are set to issue a statement on the matter later today.
It was an incident that the club could have done without after recent bad publicity for the club.
Caleb Binge apologised to fans after he pleaded guilty to a low range drink driving in November. In late October mid-season recruit James Roberts was arrested for committing a public nuisance and obstructing a police office. Back in June Paul Carter was stood down after driving down the wrong way on a Gold Coast street with a blood-alcohol level almost four times the legal limit.
