Manly had their first trial game of the year against the Cronulla at Pittwater Park on the Northern Beaches coming away victors 42-22.
The first half was dominated by the young guns for the Sea Eagles as they led 30-6 at the break. The likes of Brett Stewart and Daly Cherry Evans played the second stanza. Cronulla got within eight points with fifteen minutes to go before Manly ran away with victory.
CANBERRA RAIDERS 32 MELBOURNE STORM 20
With Melbourne resting their big three it was no surprise that Canberra won this affair down in Griffith. Dedicated rugby league fans were treated to live web coverage on the Melbourne Storm website. A great initiative by their club. Raiders Jeremy Hawkins crossing late to seal victory. Jordan Rapana placed on report for the Raiders.

Blake Ferguson scored a double in his return to top grade rugby league in a forty-minute hit out for the former New South Wales representative. Penrith way too good though with Sika Manu, Ben Murdoch-Masila and Andy Saunders having good games. No major injuries coming out of the game.
GOLD COAST 22 NEW ZEALAND WARRIORS 12
Gold Coast have proved too strong for New Zealand Warriors 22-12 in Toowoomba. Scores at half time were level at twelve points all. Dominique Peyroux and Brad Tighe among the scores for either side. The Warriors game with Penrith in Rotorua next week will be televised in Australia on Foxtel from 1pm Sydney time.
NORTH QUEENSLAND 18 BRISBANE 6
A tight contest at Mackay with North Queensland running out 18-6 winners after scores were level at the main break. Kyle Feldt scoring the match winning try with two minutes left on the clock. Ben Hunt and Anthony Milford trialed in the halves for the Broncos. Rain hampered the match with poor handling errors at different stages of the game.
