The RFL Match Review Panel has charged three players following incidents in First Utility Super League Round 1 fixtures.
Patrick Ah Van of Widnes Vikings has been charged with making a Grade B reckless high tackle on Wigan Warriors winger Josh Charnley in the 23rd minute of a fixture played on Thursday February 5. Matty Smith of Wigan Warriors has also been charged with Grade B kicking in the 77th minute of the same match.
Weller Hauraki of Salford Red Devils has been charged with making Grade B dangerous contact on Ben Currie in the eighth minute of their match against Warrington Wolves on Saturday February 7.
Ah Van and Smith have until 11.00am on Tuesday February 10 to submit Early Guilty Pleas. Hauraki does not have the option of submitting an EGP and will face an independent disciplinary tribunal on Tuesday February 10.
The Match Review Panel also issued a formal caution to Joel Tomkins of Wigan Warriors for contrary behaviour in the 77th minute of the match played on Thursday February 5.
