The Club has today announced a commitment to play one regular season fixture per year at Central Coast Stadium over the next five years, commencing in 2015.

Having recently formed an alignment with the region via the Central Coast Division Rugby League and Wyong Roos, this commitment guarantees local rugby supporters will have an opportunity to watch some of the biggest names in the NRL live in action at Central Coast Stadium.

“We are committed to the role we play as a professional sport within the community and this is a positive step in our increasing engagement with the Central Coast via our alliance with the Central Coast Division Rugby League and Wyong Roos,” said Roosters Chief Operating Officer Football, Brian Canavan.

“With more than 5,500 participants in the region, the Central Coast has a strong network of rugby league support and this month alone, the Roosters have visited more than 5,000 school children in the region as part of the NRL’s Community Carnival. This is just part of our on-going activations in the area to promote our brand and Club, and we are pleased to be giving local league fans the assurity that the Sydney Roosters are committed to playing at Central Coast Stadium for the next five years,” he added.

Gosford City Mayor, Lawrie McKinna echoed the Roosters sentiment.

“We are very pleased that the people of the Central Coast will be able to enjoy watching live rugby league action in their backyard at Central Coast Stadium,” said Cr McKinna.

“We have been impressed with the Sydney Roosters and their endeavours to engage with the community via their relationship with the Central Coast Division Rugby League and Wyong Roos, and applaud them for making this about more than just a game of footy,” he added.

In 2015, the Sydney Roosters will host the Gold Coast Titans at Central Coast Stadium on Sunday, June 28 with the NRL kicking off at 2.00pm.
