Preview

Salford Red Devils continue to be in the spotlight for the wrong reasons, as Gareth Hock has left the club following his six game ban and the future of star fullback Kevin Locke looks uncertain amid rumours of a cross code switch.

Owner Marwan Koukash will be desperate for his side to get their first points of the season as Hull FC visit the AJ Bell Stadium, with tough defeats to Warrington Wolves and St Helens leaving the doctor frustrated.

The Airlie Birds will be no pushovers though, as they set down a marker with a 0-19 win at Huddersfield in their season opener and they narrowly lost out 6-7 to Warrington before the World Club Series break.

The Devils have won their last two meetings with the black and whites which includes a one point win in the Challenge Cup fourth round but have only picked up 7 Super League wins in this meeting to Hull’s 27.

STAT: Hull FC will be without Jamie Shaul who has scored tries in his sides’ last three meetings with Salford, racking up four touchdowns against the Devils in that time.

Prediction

Salford will be up for this one as they are in search of a first win of the season however Hull FC’s good start to the season makes them a dangerous opponent. My SuperBru prediction is Hull FC by eight points.
