Challenge Cup match review: Leigh Centurions 64-12 London Broncos

The Centurions blasted their way past the Broncos in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup round four contest. 36-0 down at half-time, Andrew Henderson’s London side were without their usual dual-registration players and the result possibly did that fact justice. Jonathan Pownall, Sam Barlow, Kurt Haggerty, Sam Hopkins and a brace from Ryan Brierley gave Leigh their commanding lead going into the sheds after 40 minutes. Ray Nasso scored the first points of the second half, and London were on the board with six points. Hopkins completed his brace for the Centurions during the second period, his score was added to by Tom Armstrong, Liam Kay and Gregg McNally. Daniel Harrison and Fuifui Moimoi exchanged scores between the two sides to see the game out.

London host Halifax this Saturday when they get back to league action, the Centurions welcome Cumbrian side Whitehaven to the Leigh Sports Village on Sunday at 3:00pm.
