The Sydney Roosters have suffered a massive loss with news that star centre Blake Ferguson faces 4 months on the sidelines with a foot injury.
Ferguson, 25, suffered the injury in the second half of his side’s 34-6 thrashing of the Canberra Raiders yesterday, in which he scored a try, his third of the season.
In a statement on the club’s website, the Roosters said that Ferguson had “suffered ligament damage to his right foot in last Sunday’s win against the Canberra Raiders, resulting in the centre leaving the field in the second half without return.Ferguson will undergo surgery tomorrow and it is expected that he will be unavailable for selection for 4 months.A further update on Ferguson will be provided once he commences rehabilitation.”
