Prop forward Lopini Paea has left Wakefield Wildcats and will return to Australia.
The Tongan international was left out of the Wildcats’ side that lost at home to Widnes on Sunday afternoon.
The 31 year-old’s decison to head back Down Under comes just days after younger brother Mickey announced he will join Newcastle Knights for 2016.
Wakefield signed Paea from Catalan on a one year deal at the start of the campaign but he has featured in just four Super League matches this year.
Wildcats chairman Michael Carter said; “We wish Lopini all the best for his new challenge in Australia.
“We hope he and his family enjoyed their time at Trinity. We now have a half quota spot available and are looking to find a replacement in the near future.”
Paea’s last game for the club was the Challenege Cup sixth round defeat to Leigh Centurions a fortnight ago.
