Wigan prop forward Tony Clubb has penned a new four-yeal deal with the Warriors.
The 27 year old has made 37 appearances for the Cherry and Whites since joining them from London Broncos in 2014.
Head coach Shaun Wane told the club website; “Tony is one of the best front-rowers in the competition and has been in fine form for Wigan this year. He’s a great bloke and his attitude is second to none. I want all the players to be hungry and to want to continually improve and Tony is exactly that kind of person. He’s made a lot of progress in his 18 months at the club and with the help of our coaching staff, he’s only going to get better.”
England international Clubb added; “It was a no-brainer for me really. I’ve loved every second here at Wigan and my family enjoy it up here too. We’re expecting our second child any day now and are really settled in Wigan. It’s great to be part of such a good team. Wigan and Shaun Wane have done a lot for me and it’s nice to hear some of the things said about me. I just want to repay that now.
“I’m busy working hard trying to get my knee right and then I can get back out training with the lads. I’m desperate to win a trophy with Wigan and will be doing everything I can to help make it happen.”
