Ben Roberts has signed a new three-year contract extension with Castleford Tigers.
The New Zealand and Samoa international joined the Tigers ahead of the 2015 season and has played at centre, loose forward and full-back for the club.
This season Roberts has partnered Luke Gale in the halves and has made an impressive start to the 2016 campaign.
Roberts told the Tigers’ official website: “I’m excited to be working with Daryl for a further three seasons. Cas is definitely a club with a vision of success, and I want to play a part in that. My family and I are settled here and I love playing for this club and with these boys.”
Roberts scored nine tries in 26 appearances for Castleford last season and has played in all four of the Tigers’ Super League games so far this season.
Head coach Daryl Powell said of Roberts’ new deal: “It’s fantastic news for us at the club that Benny has decided to extend this stay for the next three years. He is a high quality player and person who has got better and better as he has fitted into the way that we play. His game is constantly improving and I think there is more to come from him as he continues to strive for excellence and development in all aspects of his game. He fits the type of player we want at the club with his professionalism, his desire to win things and his passion to always be at his best every week.”
