Brisbane Broncos will make an appearance at Penrith Panthers territory, Pepper Stadium on Saturday night for Round 3. Brisbane Broncos are currently sitting comfortably in 2nd on the ladder and Penrith Panthers sit outside the top 8 at 11th.
LAST TIME OUT
These two teams have had a very contrast start to the season.
Penrith Panthers have had a disappointing start to the season and will be looking to turn their luck around especially in front of a home crowd. They were in good form last week and were very unlucky not to take the two points home. Unfortunately they weren’t able to defend their line in the dying seconds and lost by two points. In good form and playing well they deserved to beat the Bulldogs at home and will be confident they can put themselves in the same position against the Broncos. Having a relatively experienced side including players such as Jamie Soward, Peter Wallace and Josh Mansour they will be looking to improve their season with a win. They should be secretly confident in front of a home crowd to come out with a bang.
The Brisbane Broncos have had a perfect start to the season winning their first two games of this year. Anthony Milford and Ben Hunt have both stepped up for the Broncos and assisted their team to win. They will be looking to make it a third win in a row for the year to continue their impressive form. Being away from their home crowd will be a huge challenge but will make for a good game. Brisbane Broncos defence has been superb over the last two games which has played a huge role. Brisbane Bronco’s will be without Corey Oates who has been a huge reason for their success for the last two games.
It’s a key match up between the halfbacks Anthony Milford and Jamie Soward. Jamie Soward showed off his determination last week against the Bulldogs but was not rewarded for his efforts after the Bulldogs came back to score in last 30 seconds.
Anthony Milford has been playing a near perfect 10/10 for the first two games of the season. Hopefully the brilliant start won’t discontinue early for him. If he carries out this exceptional form throughout the entire season, Broncos have a great chance of making the finals. It is still early days and Milford will be hoping to assist and make as much impact as possible for his side to win.
Brisbane Broncos form has been impressive and Panthers will suffer without star fullback Matt Moylan but will be very determined to take the two points especially in front of a home crowd. It will be close but I think Anthony Milford has been too impressive with his form, Broncos to win by 10.
