Could this have been the afternoon that Halifax’s season got back on track? Their good recent form against Bradford continued with a 14-10 victory at The Shay. The Bulls did score the opening try of proceedings through Etu Uaisele after six minutes. Danny Addy didn’t convert, though. From then on, Halifax controlled the scoreboard and notched two tries before the break. Jake Eccleston and Dane Manning both got on the scoresheet for the hosts and Steve Tyrer successfully converted the tries. A 12-4 lead at the break will have pleased Fax coach Richard Marshall and his side extended their lead with a penalty goal after 46 minutes. Bradford did grab a much needed score with ten minutes remaining thanks to James Clare and this time Addy was on target from the tee. Fax held a 14-10 advantage in the dying embers and they managed to keep hold of it despite late pressure from the Bulls. A great win for Halifax while Bradford’s poor performances of late came back to bite them on the rear.
