The race for the top four was blown wide open after Featherstone Rovers’ 34-6 victory over Batley Bulldogs at the Fox’s Biscuits Stadium. The visitors were 10-0 up at half-time following a try from Andy Bostock and two penalty goals from the boot of Kyle Briggs. Things got even better in the second half for Jon Sharp’s men, who registered the next four tries of the match, in the space of 11 minutes. Briggs, Ian Hardman, Ashton Golding and Michael Channing all crossed the whitewash before the Bulldogs scored their first points of the match in the dying embers of the tie. Chris Ulugia was the lone try-scorer for the hosts, who have a tough job on their hands next week when they take on London Broncos. Featherstone are away to third-placed Halifax.
