NSW stars Ruan Sims, Allana Ferguson, Maddie Studdon and Sammy Bremner helped Cronulla-Caringbah Sharks claim the Sydney Metropolitan Womens Rugby League premiership in a golden point thriller over the weekend.

It took a Mia Wood try in extra time to split the teams as Cronulla Carringbah claimed a thrilling grand final victory over Greenacre Tigers.

In the NSWRL senior competitions, Mounties are three respective victories away from a grand final triple, with all three senior grades having qualified for next week’s preliminary finals.

The Mounties Ron Massey Cup team cruised to their grand final qualifier with a 48-0 thrashing of Hills District, completing the three-peat as the Intrust Super Premiership NSW and Sydney Shield enjoyed the week off after qualifying last week.
