London Broncos 46-6 Featherstone Rovers

If London Broncos’ round seven match with Featherstone Rovers is a sign of things to come for 2017, then the capital club can look forward to another great season under the stewardship of Andrew Henderson. The Broncos ran out 46-6 winners at Trailfinders Sports Ground and they were 18-0 up at the break following a brace from Rhys Williams as well as tries from Daniel Harrison and Elliot Kear.

In the second period, Matt Garside extended London’s lead to 24 points with a try in the 53rd minute and things got better in the final quarter for the Broncos. Williams completed his hat-trick prior to Ben Hellewell and Jack Bussey both scoring four pointers against their former employers. John Davies got Featherstone on the scoresheet with six minutes to spare but there was still time for London to get over for their ninth, and final, try of proceedings. Workhorse forward Mark Ioane was the beneficiary for the Broncos, who seem to be in good hands after their second season in the Kingstone Press Championship.
