Momentum poured out onto Lottoland on Saturday afternoon for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles as they kept the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs scoreless and piled on 36 points in a fast-paced game of rugby league.
10 Million Dollar Man Stars
Halfback Daly Cherry Evans (DCE) impressed on Saturday afternoon as the captain played a huge role in the 36- nil win over the Bulldogs.
With five try-assists, two line breaks and an incredible kicking game, DCE had a 150th milestone game to remember.
The captain came out and excelled throughout the full 80 minutes of football which allowed the fans at Lottoland aka The Fortress to celebrate in style for their second consecutive win of the 2017 season.
Manly forwards excel to allow halves to be creative
The Manly Sea Eagles forward pack including Jake Trbojevic, Brenton Lawrence, Frank Winterstein and Martin Taupau had a huge impact making a total of 587 metres throughout the game allowed the halves, Blake Green and DCE to be creative with their kicks.
Both DCE and Green changed up the last play of each set with a range of kicks but the play of the day came from DCE after a terrific left foot kick sent Uate over for the last try of the game.
Bulldogs kept scoreless
Manly’s defence was good but Bulldogs attacking after their set of six was horrific. Moses Mbye and Josh Reynolds were very quiet with their kicking game and with the errors that occurred throughout the field the Bulldogs couldn’t catch a break.
Is Coach Des Hasler in Trouble?
After a significant display of Bulldogs fans spraying the team and head coach Des Hasler, many questions were raised whether or not Hasler would remain as coach. With Ivan Cleary becoming available to coach, many eyebrows were raised following the Bulldogs being unable to score any points.
