ITS OFFICIAL! Scoop Limited are out of ideas when it comes to Matt Moylan’s future, having linked him with all Sydney-based NRL clubs.
Just today Scoop Limited journos approached the last two clubs on their “Sydney” list, Sydney Roosters and Parramatta Eels, in a desperate attempt to help the Panthers captain decide his future beyond 2017.
It’s believed that the Sydney Roosters hung up on the call and Parramatta Eels said there was “no chance in hell” of signing a Penrith Panthers player full stop.
Scoop Limited will report in Sunday’s papers that Moylan is linked with the Chooks in 2018, with Mitchell Pearce off to Salford Red Devils to replace sacked Todd Carney, who will join his former club Cronulla Sharks to replace James Maloney, closely considering a job as a referee after being sin binned last weekend in his side’s loss to the Cowboys.
Phew! That’s a lot being covered in Scoop Limited tomorrow – get a copy from your friendly local newsagent.
In documents revealed exclusively to Butch, St George-Illawarra Dragons were keen on switching Moylan for Ben Hunt. The Panthers are not interested in “the fumbler”. Canterbury were “keen as mustard” to sign Moylan for $1.3 million until the NRL Club Audit committee uncovered the genius move.
Scoop Limited – you have dropped the ball.
So where will Matt Moylan play in 2018?
Only Butch Smith has the inside word.
You’ve heard it here first – New Zealand Warriors! They need a whole team of quality players and young Moylan would fit the bill quite nicely.
Camp Moylan would not return our calls and fair enough because of all this Scoop Limited nonsense.
The mystery continues.
If only all of this was true…
