Two victors line up on the TV match this Sunday and I will be looking forward to getting a idea of where the league stands. The Blackhawks got home over a steady Norths Devils but the Jets made short work of Tweed Heads and so it is hard after only a single match to see where they are really standing.
Who to Look Out for:
The Jets at home will always lift their game, and it would not surprise me to see the forward pillars of McConnachie and Neale look to make a statement in this game. If they can put the Blackhawks forwards under pressure, it may impact on the distribution of the ball to the heavily changed backline of the Blackhawks. The Blackhawks were not convincing but did enough last weekend. It is time for the backs to get in and help out their forwards as they will need to stretch the Jets early to make the holes appear later in the game. Expecting Carlin Anderson to step it up in creating some turmoil close to the forwards.
How they will win:
The two forward packs are loaded with talent, can either side stake a claim in superiority that would then give their backs the opportunities. It is a hard call, both forward packs may give up only a little amount of ground and I do not see many tries being punched through them, but for the Jets to win they must give it their best shot. For the Blackhawks to take this game, it will rely on distribution from Anthony Mitchell and deceiving the Jets on where the run is going. He is a classy hooker and can get this done.
My heart is going with the Blackhawks, but the head says that the Jets will be dangerous at home (as always) and that the Jets will be well prepared by the Walker boys. Going with my heart on this one and saying: Blackhawks by 4. Glad this is on TV on Sunday, should be great.
