CQ Capras v Burleigh Bears at Browne Park on Saturday, March 18 – 5pm

The Capras will cap their third home start with a match against the reigning Premiers. Fortunately for them, the Bears have been hit with the NRL curse of success and lost many who were key to their success. Unfortunately the Bears who are currently even with the Capras with no wins will be looking at kick-starting their season with a victory at Browne Park.

Who to Look Out for: When your side is struggling it usually falls to the halves to step up and give the team some directions. So, for this game it will be Reece Baker and Jack Madden to face off against Daniel Schwass and Sam Grant. Whoever wins this battle will take the game.

How they will win:

For the Capras to win, it will be from improved finishing by their backline. Opportunities will need to be taken and to lose three at home will be the end of their season, the time for frailty is behind them and they must walk off with their heads held high or they would have blown the season before they really get started. The Bears are in a similar bucket, but as tow of their first three are away games, they still will have the chance of improving their performance at home. The Bears have the pack to get their game going, it needs to get going or they too will be languishing at the bottom of the ladder.

Prediction: This is a coin-toss of a selection, neither side has set the world on fire, and so the home side gets the win due to location. Capras for their first win by 2 points.
