13/04/2013 23:10 – we will post Man of the Match Details tomorrow. Thankfully Matt Robinson’s injury is not too bad but Josh Mansour and Wes Naiqama are a little more serious.
FULLTIME: Dave Simmons is driven over the sideline by Uate. And the Panthers have gone down 8-6 in a classic struggle at Hunter Stadium. The Panthers have four injuries. Matt Robbo is the main concern with his neck. Wes Naiqama and Josh Mansour ankles. Ciraldo also has a leg injury. A committed effort tonight which is encouraging for the Eels local derby in two weeks time at home. The Knights looked flat and Wayne Bennett won’t be happy. Ivan Cleary should be praising of this effort tonight but concerned about the injuries. Maybe the Fijian flyer playing in the Wolves might get a run next game?
77th min – Robbi Rochow has cut open his head after a head clash with Segeyaro.
76th min – Segeyaro knee problem. We could be down to twelve. This is very brave this effort. Can adversity lift the boys. Segeyaro is up and hobbling.
75th min – Panthers push the pass on the final tackle and Houston gets the ball.
73rd min – Mansour succumbs to injury. Panthers could spring an upset here.
69th min – VIDEO REF: Sika Manu! Torpedo from Walsh is dropped by Boyd on his line and Manu is there chasing through to score under the posts. Decision: TRY! Walsh converts. Panthers 6-8 now with ten to go. Ciraldo is gone for the night too!
68th min – Josh Mansour has done his ankle following a ball over the dead ball line. This could be the third major injury for the Panthers tonight. Before that, Whare smashed Darius Boyd in a great tackle. Twenty metre restart in a second. Update on Matt Robinson, he may be off to the hospital pending further advice.
63rd min – bad injury to Matt Robinson. Lifted in a tackle by Mullen and Jeremy Smith. He lost the ball on initial impact but he’s on the ground. Looked like he landed on his neck. Should be a penalty for lifting. Play is held up for some time here. Seventeen left and it’s still 8-0 to the Knights. Medicab will take Robbo off. Smith is on report. Penalty to the Panthers.
61st min – Mason drops the ball cold in good defence on the Panthers line. Panthers running out of time to score their first try in two matches.
58th min – Tyrone Roberts picks up a grubber from Walsh clean and then runs downfield. Knights on the last tackle for a goal line drop out. Knights looking for their second try of the night.
55th min – Tom Humble was cleaned up by Willie Mason after a kick. He’s holding his shoulder. No change to the halftime score.
52nd min – back to back dropouts from the Knights and Manu drops the ball in a tackle twenty metres out from the Knights line. Still 8-0 to the Knights.
49th min – Goal line dropout to the Knights. Fumbled a bomb in goal.
44th min – VIDEO REF: Robbie Rochow looks to have scored after a Mullin bomb was fumbled by Mansour in goal and Rochow could have bounced the ball. However, looks like Leilua knocked the ball on contesting the ball with Humble. Decision: No try. Let off for the Panthers.
42nd min – Luke Walsh tries a grubber on the last and the ball doesn’t bounce his way. The pass goes forward to Humble. Better play from the Panthers.
NRL SECOND HALF: The Knights kick off to start the second half as they lead the Panthers 8-0.
HALF TIME: And the Knights lead 8-0. The Panthers have defended well in general play and since Segeyaro’s introduction have started to offload a lot more. Encouraging sides for a team struggling for form and down to sixteen for the rest of the game it would seem.
38th min – a forward pass from Whare to Mansour from a set move ten metres from the Knights line. Naiqama looks gone for the night following a leg injury around the thirtieth minute. Knights 8 Panthers 0.
33rd min – VIDEO REF: Grant gets over the line but he was helped over the line by a few Panther players being Ciraldo and Segeyaro. Badger is saying no try. Decision: No try. Some good play of late with an intercept to Mansour and then a penalty. A forced line dropout and then this no try decision
30th min – Wes Naiqama was injured following a tackle near his own line. Mullen then kicked from his own thirty but the ball just went dead in goal. Still 8-0 to the Knights against a Panthers team down on confidence.
25th min – KNIGHTS PENALTY GOAL – Kurt Gidley converts a penalty goal following Josh Mansour’s knock on after a Mullen bomb and subsequent penalty. The Knights ahead 8-0. The Panthers have in excess of fifteen tackles in the opposition twenty but haven’t been able to convert.
20th min – still 6-0 Knights but the Panthers certainly applying the pressure and showing plenty of enthusiasm in the first quarter of the game.
17th min – Nigel Plum loses the ball in a good tackle just short of the line. Panthers best chance after back to back sets of six.
15tth min – Panthers get their first penalty of the game and now have possession just forty metres from their line. This must be the boys best start in a number of weeks as they always conceded early multiple tries.
7th min – KNIGHTS TRY – James McManus has broken free from a tackle by Plum and he’s run ninety metres to score. That came off a scrum feed win to the Knights and first points are on the board. Gidley converts and the Knights lead 6-0 after eight minutes.
5th min – great start for the Panthers applying early pressure forcing a couple of mistakes from the home side.
NRL Kick-off: The game in Newcastle is underway with the Panthers kicking off! Good conditions at Hunter Stadium with a dry night

13/04/2013 16:55 – BJ Leilua comes into the starting line-up for the Knights with Alex McKinnon back to the bench. Buderis and Costigan won’t take their place on the bench with McKinnon, Cuthbertson, Fa’alogo and Waddell the subs. Lewis Brown will place centre with Brad Tighe out. The forwards read Docker, Newton, Manu, Grant, Kingston and Plum. McKendry, Ciraldo, Segeyaro and Matt Robinson are the bench. Luke Walsh returns after being dropped replacing Blake Austin. A lot of changes to go through.
13/04/2013 16:45 – Santini flies out wide and scores in the corner as the Panthers hit 30. A scrappy win 30-14 to continue our NYC Penrith Panthers unbeaten run.

13/04/2013 16:20 – Kieran Moss scores to extend the lead after Yeo was held upright over the nice but managed an offload. Score is now 18-6 with 24 to go.
13/04/2013 16:05 – In the first minute after the break Watene-Zelezniak scores in the corner set up by a nice run by Moseley out of dummy half. They almost score again after Watene-Zelezniak was in the clear but Wilson was taken into touch just short of the corner post.
13/04/2013 16:00 – second half is about to begin in the NYC with the Panthers up 10-6.
13/04/2013 15:50 – despite a sloppy effort in the first half, the Panthers head into half time at 10-6. Cartwright and Watene-Zelezniak bombed tries and the score could have been bigger at the break.
