FULLTIME: Panthers win 17-10 in a scrappy game to record their third straight win and return to the top eight.

79th min – One last chance for the Eels with a short kick off spilt by the Panthers.

78th min – PANTHERS FIELD GOAL: Luke Walsh field goal and the lead is seven with two to go.

77th min – Luke Kelly penalised for holding back Clint Newton chasing a kick.

76th min – great set by the Panthers to take it from their own line.  Eels deep in their half with four to go.

73rd min – Eels last tackle option in their own half is to kick wide with the overlap but the ball bounces cruely and into touch.

71st min – Dave Simmons held up going for his third.

70th min – Brad Tighe cleaned up by Kaiser Pritchard.  This will be on report and a penalty for the Panthers just inside the Eels half.

68th min – Interesting twelve minutes coming up, both teams struggling.  One mistake either team could be a game changer.

67th min – Maitua looking dangerous but the offload is spilt by the Eels.

65th min – A lot of pressure from the Eels in the last five minutes but the Panthers see the ball over the dead ball line for a twenty metres restart.

60th min – Moylan takes the high ball in the field of play and forced back in goal.

53rd min – Wiliame goes for to score and Isaac John’s covering tackle and the ball is lost forward.  Mose Masoe lost the ball in the tackle from the kick restart after the try.

50th min: PANTHERS TRY – Dave Simmons double.  Walsh’s kick across field from ten metres out finds the Eels winger off his line and Simmons went over untouched.  Walsh’s kick to extend the lead from near touch is across the face of goal.  Panthers 16 Eels 10.

48th min: Last tackle option from the Eels gives the Panthers possession forty metres from their line.

46th min: James Roberts redeems himself with a try saving tackle on Wiliame who drops the ball close to the line.

45th min: James Roberts loses the ball in the tackle from the scrum.  Eels feed fifteen metres out from the Panthers line.

SECOND HALF: The Eels kick off with the Panthers ahead by two going into the final forty minutes.

The Panthers will need to lift against an Eels side who played better for the last fifteen minutes of the half and scored twice to reduce the lead to two.

40th min: EELS TRY: Luke Kelly intercepts a pass from Luke Walsh and he scores under the posts.  At half time Penrith lead narrowly 12-10.

38th min: Eels on a roll and rewarded with a goal line dropout.  Lussick loses the ball in the tackle from the dropout.

32nd min: EELS TRY: Wiliame is over after a final pass looked forward from Morgan for the try scorer.  Mullaney from touch misses.  Panthers still lead 12-4.

30th min: A clever kick by Ben Roberts traps Dave Simmons in the corner post and forces him over touch.  Eels feed.

23rd min: PANTHERS TRY – Kevin Kingston OVER! Got through the paper-thin defence easy.  John laid the pass to Kingston and he beat five to score from close range.  Too easy!  Walsh makes it 12-0.

17th min: Stalemate at the moment with the Panthers still leading 6-0.

7th min: PANTHERS TRY – Dave Simmons scores from the scrum win as the ball goes wide with Whare getting around his man and throwing the final ball to the winger for his 14th season try, 83 in his career.  Walsh from the touchline is successful.  Panthers 6 Eels 0.

6th min: Luke Walsh does it again.  Another towering 40/20.

2nd min: Brad Tighe held up over the line after an early Eels mistake.

KICKOFF: Kick-off at Parramatta Stadium with the Panthers kicking off this round 18 clash.

NRL Changes Parramatta: Ken Sio and Matt Ryan OUT; Semi Radradra and Joseph Paulo IN Penrith: 1-17 but Clint Newton will start with Lewis Brown back to the bench

13/07/2013 16:00 – Welcome to our game day coverage.  Cloudy in Sydney with some possible showers around.  The Under 20’s have started the day in fine fashion as they lead the Eels at half time 22-0.  We’ll have team changes around 4:30pm – the Panthers favourites to take out this game.
