Match Review

An injury riddled Cronulla side were dealt more injury woes as captain Paul Gallen limped from the field in their 18-12 loss to the Gold Coast Titans.‏

The Sharks captain left the paddock in the 30th minute and didn’t return to the playing field for the rest of the match.

The Sharks were the first to post points in the match , when Tinirau Arona  fooled the defence to score in his debut match in Sharks colours.

The Titans hit back in the 23rd minute , to levels the scores at 6 all.

The Titans then took the lead before half time thanks to an intercept try from speedster Albert Kelly. Kelly putting the Gold Coast ahead 10-6 after 40 minutes.

With no Paul Gallen on the field for the Sharks and a long list of players featuring Todd Carney and Luke Lewis , Stand in captain and five-eighth Wade Graham stood up and showed his true potential .

Graham scored in the 50th minute and with a successful Gordon conversion, put the Sharks back in front.

The Titans quickly drew level again soon after when Aidan Sezer slotted a penalty goal from right in front.

The Titans landed the killer blow in the 70th minute with a 4 pointer to walk away 18-12 victors over a depleted Cronulla team.
