When these two sides met earlier this season in round 2, the Sydney Roosters led by a hat-trick to Anthony Minichiello thrashed Parramatta 56-4. Since the demolition, Parramatta have come a long way with a close loss to Manly and victories over Penrith and Brisbane in recent weeks. Sydney Roosters on the other hand have lost two of their three matches. Those losses against quality opposition in Manly and Canterbury.
In team news, the home side welcome back Fui Fui Moi Moi from injury which means Junior Paulo drops out of the squad. With the welcome return of Jared Waerea-Hargreaves for the Roosters, Aiden Guerra is the unlucky player to start from the bench. Isaac Liu joins Kane Evans on an extended bench.
Parramatta’s home record is good having won their last four. Nathan Peats was missing from that horror loss at Allianz but in recent weeks has provided the work rate in defense to lead from the front. Out wide, Jarryd Hayne and Semi Radradra are their best chances. Chris Sandow’s week by week is improving his game after a long stint out of the side.
Sydney Roosters have shown defensively in defeat that they can shut down the lively Eels. The main problem stems from breaking the opponents line. Expect James Maloney and Mitchell Pearce to dominate if the visitors are to take away the two points. They should be able to expose the Eels defense and go on to win.
