John Cartwright will end his eight year association with the Gold Coast Titans when they face the Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium on Monday night.  Both Cartwright and club founder Michael Searle stood aside after one of the most dramatic weeks in the club’s history.  A loss against the Roosters will end the Titans chances of making the finals.  In team news, Will Zillman returns at fullback with Kevin Gordon shifting to the wing.  Brad Tighe is unavailable through injury.  Kalifa Faifai Loa replaces David Mead.  Paul Carter will start from the bench with Cody Nelso travelling as the eighteenth man.  Aidan Sezer has not been named in the side, but the mail is that he will return from injury and partner Dan Mortimer in the halves.

The Sydney Roosters will be pumped for this game as they aim for a top four finish.  News during the week is that Roosters legend Anthony Minichiello will end his career at season’s end.  This will be the last time he will face brother Mark at the top level.  Jake Friend will miss the game through a hamstring injury and will be replaced by Heath L’Estrange.  Mitch Aubusson is named on an extended bench.  The return of Michael Jennings from injury with two tries was a feature in the Roosters 30-22 victory over St George-Illawarra last weekend.  Expect him to carve up the Titans out wide.  With fixtures against the Warriors away and home games against the Storm and Rabbitohs, the two competition points on offer in this game must be taken.
