NRL Week 1 Finals Schedule

Following the completion of round 26 of the 2014 NRL season, week one of the finals has been confirmed.

It has been an exciting season with up to 11 teams fighting it out for top 8 spots in the last few weeks and it wasn’t until the Penrith Panthers defeated the New Zealand Warriors 22-6 at Sportingbet Stadium tonight that the final make-up of the top 8 was decided.

The Brisbane Broncos rode their luck and will play finals football in 2014 following defeats to both the Parramatta Eels and New Zealand Warriors, while at the other end, the Sydney Roosters confirmed a second consecutive minor premiership with a win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs on Thursday night and the Manly-Warringah Sea eagles’ loss to the North Queensland Cowboys on Saturday night.
