1. UPDATE: Official – Todd Carney sacked after being in hot water over photo
A big year for Todd Carney who once again landed in trouble off field which saw him moved on from Cronulla Sharks to French Super League club Catalan Dragons, not before some concerns from the other English clubs. We will never know who posted the photo on behalf of Todd and one has to wonder if this was the only incident he was involved in at his time in the Shire.
Sean Hayes’ account of the drama from both the Super League Grand Final and National Rugby League final grabbed interest in October 2014. Sam Burgess’ broken cheekbone after a head clash in the opening minutes in Sydney was upstaged by Ben Flower’s moment of madness which was condemned by the rugby league critics globally. Another dent for rugby league to end it’s image of thuggery.
ANZAC Day always stirs up the emotions in everyone and there’s no better way to commemorate the occasion by going to a rugby league game played with passion. This was our look at why playing the ANZAC Day game is so special.
