Dragons Reinstate Craig Garvey

The St George Illawarra Dragons have reinstated hooker Craig Garvey into their first grade squad after consultation and approval by the NRL.

In September 2014, Garvey was found guilty of assaulting another patron at the Hotel Illawarra in an incident that occurred earlier in the year and was stood down by the club.

Garvey played his junior football for Earlwood and La Perouse before signing with the Dragons. He played at Holden Cup level in 2012 and 2013, captaining the side in 2013. During that year he also represented NSW at under 20’s level and made his NRL debut in round 17 against the Sydney Roosters.

Garvey has now rejoined his team mates for pre-season training under an adjusted NRL playing contract and the club will make no further comment on the matter.
