Tim Mannah Retains Eels Captaincy for 2015

Parramatta Eels prop Tim Mannah has again been named captain of the club, after leading the Eels during the 2013 and 2014 seasons alongside Jarryd Hayne.

With Hayne in America attempting to kick-start a career in the NFL, Eels coach Brad Arthur has appointed Mannah as sole captain ahead of the 2015 season.

Arthur was full of praise for Mannah, who has played 143 games for the club since making his debut during the 2009 season.

“Tim has done an outstanding job as our club captain for the past two years, and I know he will once again do us proud from the front,” Arthur told nrl.com.

“Tim leads by example on and off the field, and he is a great ambassador for our club.”

Mannah has represented City Origin and New South Wales on 4 occasions and played one game for the Prime Ministers’ XIII.
