Salford will be looking to avoid a sixth consecutive defeat when they face Warrington at the AJ Bell Stadium on Friday night.

Injuries and suspensions have hampered the Red Devils squad in recent weeks and full-back Kevin Locke is the latest casualty after undergoing knee surgery.

Head coach Iestyn Harris is able to recall Cory Paterson following his three-match ban, as well as Junior Sau and young prop Carl Forster.

Warrington are without captain Joel Monaghan after the winger picked up a hip injury in the 52-10 win over Dewsbury in the Challenge Cup last weekend.

Stefan Ratchford and Daryl Clark return to the 19-man squad and young hooker Brad Dwyer retains his place following the departure of Micky Higham to Leigh this week.

Dwindling attendances at the AJ Bell stadium saw a record low of just 1,972 fans witness Salford’s 19-0 defeat to Huddersfield a fortnight ago. In order to combat this the club is offering tickets for as low as £5 in some areas of the ground as well as the opportunity for children to attend the game for free in the hope of encouraging supporters to head down to the stadium on Friday night.

Warrington have won the last six fixtures between the sides, including a 22-8 win in the opening game of the season.

While the Red Devils currently lie 11th in the league table, a win would move them to within one point of the Wolves in 5th as both teams look to find form ahead of the Magic Weekend next week.
