Bradford Bulls scraped past former player Glenn Morrison’s Dewsbury Rams by a slender four points. In a game where only four penalties were awarded, Dewsbury had the advantage after the first 40 minutes. They went into the sheds 6-0 to the good thanks to an Anthony Thackeray try. Things got better after the break for the visitors when Karl Pryce latched on to a bomb for a four pointer, which turned into a six pointer when Brett Seymour converted. That try seemed to spark Bradford into life, they scored two tries in three second half minutes to bring the game level. Adam Henry and Adrian Purtell both crossed the chalk before Danny Addy also scored to put the hosts in the lead for the first time. Purtell bagged his brace with 73 minutes to the clock but there was another twist to this tale when Dale Morton notched a try for the Rams with four minutes to go. Although Bradford saw the game out, coach James Lowes will have been far from happy and will be wanting to see major improvements for next weekend’s match at Workington.
