Kingstone Press Round 17 Match Review – Workington 0 Featherstone Rovers 52

124-0, it looks like a decent cricket score but that was the joint result of the two encounters between these two sides this season as Rovers nilled Town for the second time this season.

Paul Sykes starred with a personal haul of 20 points with one try and eight goals, only missing one attempt at goal all afternoon.

Speaking after the game Town coach Veivers said it felt like “one step forward and two backwards”

Fev wrapped the game by half time having a 36 point lead, but it took them 12 minutes to register a point but scored at regular intervals scoring 6 tries in just 23 minutes. 2 tries from Ian Hardman, Gaz Moore and one from Jy Hitchcox and Sykes.

The second half was a better one for town but still couldn’t get themselves on the board. But Fev picked up where they left off when Thomas Minns went over in the 8th minute of the second half. Sykes missed his only conversion of the game.

The final two tries came through Hitchcox and Frenchman Remy Marginet.

Prediction – Fev by 22
