London Broncos 56-16 Oldham Roughyeds

London Broncos have become a ruthless team in 2016 and their 56-16 victory over Oldham Roughyeds just typifies it. The Broncos were 34-0 up at the break after a Rhys Williams hat-trick as well as tries from Daniel Harrison, Ben Hellewell and Elliot Kear.

The Roughyeds had played a game in midweek so a game against the Broncos so soon after was unfortunate to say the least. However, Scott Naylor’s men were the first team to register a try in the second half as winger Jamel Chisholm touched down. London’s slow start to the second period was soon at the back of everybody’s mind as the capital club notched a further three tries before the hour to get to the 50 point mark. Iliess Macani bagged a brace while Hellwell completed his in the 57th minute. Prop forward Mark Offerdahl scored the last try for the Broncos with 12 minutes remaining, in which the visitors helped themselves to two tries. Jack Holmes and Michael Ward were the try-scorers for the Roughyeds, who couldn’t be criticised for a lack of effort.
