Four Pointers: Parramatta Eels 22 Sydney Roosters 18

Corey Norman makes huge impact for his side

Corey Norman had close to a perfect game on Friday night assisting his side to victory, in front of a home crowd at Pirtek Stadium. The cold and wet conditions worked in his favour as he set up every single try for the boys in blue and gold. Even with a tweet commending his efforts from ex teammate Nathan Peats mentioning on Twitter “What a game @Normz35 you weapon”.

Semi Radradra lost early due to injury

Semi Radradra did not have the start he wanted after the winger was injured in the first 10 minutes of the game. He struggled out of a tackle in the fifth minute and came limping off the ground. This was not the start the Eels were looking forward too as Semi Radradra makes a significant impact on the wing and running the ball when possible.

He did not return for the night and will undergo scans tomorrow for a possible medial ligament injury. (Source: ParraEels Twitter account).

Eels victory celebrated with three milestones

Nathan Wicks played his 100th game tonight and it was a very special night for him as his side could grasp the win. He came on with a physical attitude from the bench and assisted the Eels to win.

Michael Gordon scored the first try of the night for the boys and scored his 500th career conversion after converting 3/4 goals. This huge milestone from Gordon is an incredible effort and proud moment. He played an exceptional game for the blue and gold. Congratulations to Gordon as he is the 33rd player in history to kick 500 career goals.

Manu Ma’u was able to score two brilliant tries for the Eels in his 50th game. These were important tries to assist Parramatta in gaining the lead against the Roosters. The centre was given his opportunities to cross the line thanks to his five eighth, Corey Norman off his kicks.

Roosters lose fourth consecutive game

Roosters were unable to end their losing streak drought after a tough fight against the Eels. The Eels were stronger in defence and attack, which proved costly as they won by four points. It does not get easier for the Roosters as they face the leaders of the competition Monday week (the 18th of July) at home.
