Broncos win five in a row
Brisbane Broncos have sent Corey Parker off from the regular NRL rounds in style with a victory to make it five in a row and secure a home ground final. The Brisbane Broncos had a rough patch in the middle of the season by losing some matches but have improved at the right time. The Broncos will be ecstatic with the form they are displaying throughout the last five weeks heading in to finals. They will take it as a huge positive and will know what attacking and defensive strategies are working for them. They will be looking to continue this form into finals to send off Corey Parker even better with an appearance playing in the grand final.

Appropriate farewell for retiring legend Corey Parker

Corey Parker has been farewelled from Suncorp Stadium in appropriate fashion with his team defeating the Roosters by 10 points. With a huge crowd of over 37,000 people turning up on a Thursday night at Suncorp it will be difficult for Parker to forget his last game in the regurlar NRL season. He managed to assist his side by kicking the last goal of the game in the 75th minute to secure the win. A game that will be hard to forget for the #13 Broncos player as he departed on the shoulders of his teammates.

Roosters end season in style

The Sydney Roosters came out very determined tonight after being in the lead for majority of the game, leading at half time by 2 points. They ended their season in positive fashion as they gave the Broncos a good run, which leaves only positives for the side for next year.
The Roosters were unlucky with injuries losing Dale Copley in the 38th minute due to concussion, as well as Latrell Mitchell and Jared Waerea- Hargreaves who both left the field due to injury. This was a major setback as the Roosters hardly had anyone left on the bench.
The team will be happy with their efforts as the Roosters maintained 53% possession and had a higher completion rate of 74%. The Roosters will be hoping to take these statistics into next season to have an improved season.

Corey Oates had an impressive game

Corey Oates was one of the best players on the field on Thursday night as he ran a total of 207 metres (the most run metres of the game) and made a line break. He played exceptionally well for the winger and produced a brilliant line break in the 32nd minute running straight past four Roosters defenders. Milford was able to capitalise in his efforts and score a try off his line break in the 33rd minute as the Broncos made a comeback. He and Jordan Kahu came out of the match with the most fantasy points at 48 points.
