The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have shown they are real contenders to make finals this year after defeating the South Sydney Rabbitohs away from home at Allianz Stadium, by a massive 38- points. The Rabbitohs were out-numbered and outrun throughout the 80 minutes of the game as Manly continuously piled on points that included nine tries!

Will Sam Burgess Join His Brother (George) On The Sideline?
Sam Burgess may be joining his brother on the sideline after applying a shoulder charge on Manlyโs captain Daly Cherry Evans as a defence method before Jake Trbojevic scored Manlyโs sixth try in the 38th minute before half time.
The replay confirmed he had planned to apply the attempted โtackleโ on DCE who wasnโt in possession of the ball at the time either.
If found guilty by the NRL of a shoulder charge Burgess may miss up to two weeks.
Manly have won every โawayโ game
This is Manlyโs fourth win away from home.
Coach Trent Barrett mentioned the team bonding session before playing an away game has an influence on how the Sea Eagles play on game day. This is evident on the field as the team seem close and show a sense of positive affiliation between each other.
Captain Daly Cherry Evans stepped up for his team and played a huge role away from Lottoland, kicking his second 40/20 of the season. Manly gained momentum after the kick, allowing captain DCE to have a big impact on his side.
Rabbitohs struggle to keep up
You couldn’t look away for one second without missing something important but something that was clear was how Souths were struggling to keep up with Manly’s pace.
The Rabbitohs also seemed to be out-run in particularly by Barrettโs right side fast combination of Dylan Walker and Akuila Uate.
Souths maintained 39% possession, compared to Manly who had 61% during the game. Possession played a huge role as the more Manly had the ball the more likely they were to score after showing determination to break through Souths defensive line.

Manly: Tries: 9 (x4 Akuila Uate, Brenton Lawrence, Curtis Sironen, Jorge Taufua, Jake Trbojevic and Blake Green) Goals: 5 Dylan Walker
