The South Sydney Rabbitohs have defeated the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles 38-18 at Lottoland on Saturday afternoon in Round 2.

No Inglis No Worries

South Sydney Rabbitohs lost their fullback, Greg Inglis last week after he suffered an ACL injury but the Rabbitohs survived without him.

Alex Johnston put on the number one jersey to fill in for Inglis, and excelled in the second half for the Rabbitohs. Johnston managed to score two tries throughout the game to extend their lead.

Halfback Adam Reynolds also made a return and assisted the Rabbitohs to victory after having a 100% conversion rate, kicking 6/6 conversations in the game.

Woeful defence from Manly

The Manly Sea Eagles managed to hold off the Rabbitohs from scoring for 18 minutes but it went downhill from there.

The Rabbitohs were in the lead 18-12 at half-time until they scored three tries in the last 13 minutes of the match. Manlyโ€™s defence came undone in the last 13 minutes of the game which they will be looking to improve before they head up to North Queensland to play the Cowboys who are undefeated this season.

Robbie Farahโ€™s First Try For Souths

Robbie Farah had a brilliant game in his new colours, successfully scoring his first NRL try for the Rabbitohs.

After a difficult season with the Wests Tigers last year, he has found his feet at the Rabbitohs alongside his teammates with their first win of the season.

He assisted his team with securing the win after receiving a great pass from Robert Jennings.

Is Trent Barrettโ€™s Job In Trouble?

Trent Barrett will be in more trouble in the media this week than his job being on the line with the Sea Eagles. It is only round two of the 2017 season and Manly have been unlucky with injuries again and the Sea Eagles will be hoping to secure a win in the next couple of weeks.

If Barrettโ€™s team continue to be on the losing end he may face some backlash. Manly will be sure to not make an irrational decision on the coach especially following the exit of Geoff Toovey.
