PREDICTIONS | Round 27 Super League

While St. Helens and Warrington battled it out at Wembley the rest of the League had a week to prepare for the final push, let’s take a look at the match-ups in round 27.

Salford Red Devils vs Warrington Wolves (Thursday, 7:45 pm)

Arguably one of the form sides in the competition Salford sit just two points off the second spot. Jackson Hastings and Niall Evalds are on fire, Ian Watson’s men could be a surprise.

For Warrington it’s the case of how bad is the Challenge Cup hangover, two key players in Chris Hill and Mike Cooper are rested, yet I somehow doubt a loss would dampen spirits.

Prediction: Salford 28-20 Warrington

Hull FC vs Huddersfield Giants (Friday, 7:45 pm)

Hull have found form hard to come by once again, with some close games not going their way. They have picked up points where needed though and still find themselves in a strong position.

The same can’t be said for Huddersfield who find themselves one of three teams at the foot on 18 points. Simon Woolford will be praying for a repeat of the magic weekend fixture between the two.

Prediction: Hull FC 30-12 Huddersfield

St. Helens vs Castleford Tigers (Friday, 7:45 pm)

It’s make or break time for Justin Holbrook and co. Losing finals can be the biggest motivation or a season killer, unbeaten at home this season, a league leaders shield to lift, I think they’ll bounce back.

Castleford have put together a decent run of form as of late. It’s the start of a tough run of games for the Tigers, but the wounded Saints could be easy prey.

Prediction: Saints 30-16 Castleford
