Kick-off: Saturday 15th August, 6:30pm

Head-to-Head

Last Five Results: Warrington 50-19 Huddersfield (28/04/19), Huddersfield 20-32 Warrington (22/02/19), Warrington 26-24 Huddersfield (07/09/18), Warrington 38-4 Huddersfield (27/04/18), Huddersfield 20-6 Warrington (08/02/18)

Preview

This fixture has the potential to be the tie of the round with Huddersfield still reeling from their collapse against Leeds a fortnight ago and Warrington breezing past Hull KR last time out.

Simon Woolford has made two changes to the side beaten by Leeds with Ukuma Ta’ai and Joe Wardle returning to the squad in place of Lee Gaskell and Aaron Murphy who are both missing through injury.

Steve Price welcomes Tongan international Ben Murdoch-Masila back into his 21-man squad, returning from an ankle injury, with Anthony Gelling missing out through suspension in the only change to the side from last week’s win at Headingley.

Prediction

Huddersfield looked imperious for 65 minutes against Leeds, before collapsing in the final 15 minutes, whilst Warrington were dominant in the second period against Hull KR, after a slow start. We still don’t know exactly what these two teams are capable of, but Wire might just have the edge in this one. An exciting game awaits at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
