Head-to-Head

Last Five Results: Castleford 28-14 St Helens (15/03/20), St Helens 4-0 Castleford (30/08/19), St Helens 36-16 Castleford (26/05/19), Castleford 12-42 St Helens (22/03/19), St Helens 26-0 Castleford (28/09/18)

Preview

St Helens were untouchable when they kept Leeds to nil at Headingley last weekend, while Cas were surprisingly beaten by Catalans, but notably, have already beaten Saints in the league this season.

Kristian Woolf has made one change to the squad that dismantled Leeds last time out, with Jack Ashworth replacing Dominique Peyroux. James Roby is set to make his 500th career appearance on Sunday.

Daryl Powell could hand debuts to Gareth O’Brien, who signed on loan from Toronto Wolfpack earlier this week, and Sosaia Feki, who arrived from Cronulla Sharks during the off-season, with Liam Watts also included after missing the defeat to Catalans’ through injury.

Prediction

St Helens have looked back to their best since returning to action and are the clear favourites for Sunday’s clash. Despite Cas having already beaten Saints this season they were exposed by Catalans’ pace and power last time out but are capable of beating anyone on their day. Home advantage and a team in full flow should make this a comfortable win for Saints.
