MATCH REPORT

1st Half

South Sydney’s potent left side came up trumps again for the first try to Latrell Mitchell. The opportunity came off the back of a line break set up from Adam Reynolds.

They continued to open the Dragons up with their left side attack as Cody Walker shrugged off the cover defence to slide over for the second.

Back-to-back penalties provided the Dragons their first opportunity to post points and they did so with a grubber kick from Ben Hunt grounded by Billy Burns. They were over again with a second try from a Ben Hunt kick, with Cody Walker’s dropped catch bouncing up for Tyrell Fuimaono to crash over the line.

The Rabbitohs hit back before half-time with two tries that helped reassert their dominance.

2nd Half

The second half started with both sides showing strong effort in defence.

The Dragons were the first to crack when a poor kick chase led to a Jaxson Paulo break, which ended with Josh Mansour scoring on the opposite side of the field.

The Dragons got one back, with Tyrell Sloan making it three tries in three games, collecting a lovely offload from Billy Burns.

Bunnies half Reynolds was next to cross the line: noticing the fullback out of position, he chipped through for himself. They were in again through Jai Arrow but the build up work was done by Mitchell, who shrugged off numerous tackles to go within inches of scoring a second try.

They went on to score two more tries to make it back-to-back weeks of 50+ score lines.
