NothingButLeague Player of the Month – March
Nicho Hynes
Embed from Getty ImagesCronulla-Sutherland Sharks recruit Nicho Hynes has been superb in the first month of the National Rugby League competition.
Starting the season at halfback, Hynes has had a major contribution in the Sharks winning against Parramatta Eels (round 2) and St George-Illawarra Dragons (round 3).
He might have been pegged back a little at Melbourne with the likes of Jahrome Hughes, Ryan Papenhuyzen and Cameron Munster taking the spotlight.
Given his opportunity to shine, Hynes is making the most of his starting role in filling the spot vacated by Shaun Johnson.
One impressive aspect of his game which we didn’t see at the Storm is his general play kicking where he’s almost kicked for as many metres in the first three games at the Sharks than he did in his 36 matches at Melbourne.
He is near the top of the Dally M count with six points, three behind Panthers captain Isaah Yeo.
Hynes leads the NothingButLeague count with seven points.
