MATCHDAY PREVIEW

The Warriors had to fight hard to win last week, as the Tigers didn’t give them an inch. However, a win like that, and like the win against the Titans, is something the Warriors need at this stage of the season.

Mitch Barnett had a barnstorming start to the match, setting up a try for Luke Metcalf. Barnett will miss this week’s game after receiving stitches to a cut below his knee.

Shaun Johnson is having a great season, his two try assists in this game were just brilliant.

The Warriors are having quite the year; they are currently sitting in third place on the ladder and depending on the results of the last three rounds they should stay there.

They can’t afford to drop their guard and let a team like the Sea Eagles ambush them.

The Sea Eagles put it to the Panthers last week.

They did concede the first try but scored two for a six-point lead. Unfortunately, they would find themselves level going into the sheds at halftime. The second half wasn’t much better for the Sea Eagles as they let the Panthers take control of the game, losing by 12 points in the end.

They may not be able to make the finals, but the Sea Eagles can finish their season on a high, and it starts with a win here. Daly Cherry-Evans is one of the premier halfbacks in the game, and senior players like Jake Trbojevic need to rally the players so they can string a few good wins together.

LAST TEN MATCHES

Sea Eagles 6, Warriors 4
